The Process Is Simple When Working With SH Landscapes
The team at SH Landscapes are used to working with a huge variety of both residential and commercial customers. Some of our customers engage with us with a firm plan and budget already in their mind, whilst others may have more of a rough idea or a variety of ideas and would use our services to providing a design alongside provide advice. Also, we work on a a variety of different types of projects, ranging from taking on the whole project to include, walls, decking, lighting, planting and lawn etc. while others may just require us to take on part of the project e.g. planting or garden building etc. Regardless of size or complexity we generally use the following process.
Once the customer makes contact either via email, phone or Facebook, one of the SH Landscapes team will contact the customer to make an appointment to visit to discuss the requirements and look at the site.
During the visit, we spend some time talking through the requirements and the design if one is available; if it was produced previously by others, we can discuss further ideas and what is expected.
We then walk through the area and discuss potential issues that need to be considered as part of the design. We then survey the garden, taking photos, measurements noting the surroundings, and other key factors to producing a successful project e.g. soil, sun, shade etc.
Following a site visit and carrying out any additional required research, we will use all the information gathered and move into the design phase of the project if this is required. This can take the form of a simple sketch or a 3D drawing, depending on the level of detail required, size, complexity etc. as drawings will incur additional costs.
Once a design has been formulated, a draft is sent to the client with an idea of estimated costs that will be incurred. The client is then required to give feedback, amendments etc. until the final design is agreed between both parties. When the design is approved by the client, SH Landscapes will generate a quote for all works to be carried out.
If we are not generating a design and utilising a plan, which has been generated by others or another gardener, we will use this alongside the information gathered during the site visit to generate a quote.
Once we have finalised the design, we will produce a quotation. This will break down into as many areas as we can to help with the understanding of the costs. This level of detail enables us to price finishing items and adjust quotations easily, whilst ensuring the quote is as accurate as it can possibly be.
